Death By Chocolate College Avenue, February 14 (Valentine's Day); 4:30-8:30 pm Downtown Appleton becomes a dessert-lovers' paradise as local restaurants feature their tasty chocolate treats. Downtown Appleton Giving Hope! May 6-12, 2012! Look for the pink ribbons and shop Downtown Appleton! A percentage of proceeds from sales by businesses displaying the ribbon will be donated to the American Cancer Society in support of Breast Cancer programs and research. Flag Day Parade College Avenue, June 9, 2012; 2 pm Come enjoy the United States' largest Flag Day Parade as we celebrate America with bands, floats and other displays. The Appleton parade route starts at Oneida Street on Wisconsin Avenue and heads west to State Street then south to College Avenue. It continues east down College Avenue and turns north on Drew Street to the City Park.
